General Physical Appearance
Head
The Afanarćustre has one head that is rounded and relative to the size of their body and is a dark green with lighter green cheeks.
Eyes
The Afanarćustre have pupils that are black and slit horizontally. Their iris is large, yellow, and round. They have no white sclera.
Ears
The Afanarćustre have no external ear lobes and instead have open holes on the sides of their head which have relatively short canals. They can hear well underwater, underground, and in air.
Nose
The Afanarćustre later develop two slit holes on the end of their long snout which allows air to fill their lungs once they develop.
Mouth
The Afanarćustre has a long and rigid maw.
Jaw
The Afanarćustre jaw is a mandible of cartilage and not bone. The strength of their jaws are moderate as they eat mostly bugs and small fish.
Teeth
The Afanarćustre have the inner edges of their mouth adorned with many small and needle-like semi-transparent teeth.
Tongue
The Afanarćustre has a long, sticky, blue tongue shaped similarly to an oval leaf. Their tongue is used for pulling food into their mouth and communicating.
Torso
The Afanarćustre have oval bodies and are medium-small in size, with a little chub and covered in loose and bumpy skin.
Arms
The Afanarćustre have short but thick arms.
Hands
The Afanarćustre have stubby hands with four little fingers which are webbed.
Legs
The Afanarćustre have short and thick legs. Their legs are more stocky than their arms to help support their weight.
Feet
The Afanarćustre have flat feet with four long toes which are webbed.
Tail
The Afanarćustre have a single long tail that tapers off from bulbous and round to vertically flat halfway and to the tip. The tail is strong and gives a boost to swimming. If the tail is ever severed, it can grow back.
Skin
The Afanarćustre has green and bumpy skin that is slimy as long as it maintains moisture. The pores produce a natural green oozy slime that help keep them moist above water and escape threats.
Gills
The Afanarćustre have gills along their necks when they hatch from semi-transparent eggs. When they fully develop their lungs their gills will close and they will gasp for air. Closed gills will heal shut but their frills will remain.
Average Height
The Afanarćustre are shorter than humans and dwarves, but taller than gnomes. They measure close to 4 rods high.
Average Weight
The Afanarćustre are heavy and move at a moderate to slow speed on land. In water they are moderate to fast swimmers.
Natural Posture
The Afanarćustre often crawls on all fours or swims in water. They can stand semi-upright but usually only do so in certain circumstances when on land.
